Minorities of Bangladesh living in Montreal and Toronto brought out a procession protesting atrocities on religious minorities in Bangladesh in front of the Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Canada on October 16, 2001. Our representatives handed over memorandum to the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister, the Leader of the Opposition, CIDA of Canada and the High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Ottawa urging immediate stop atrocities on religious minorities in Bangladesh and bring the culprits involved into justice. Hundreds of community members participated in the rally and the event got coverage on CTV news.
