Every year thousands of Bangladesh minorities are seeking shelter
in various N-E states of India. Those unwelcome refugees are
in desperate need of food, shelter and medication. HRCBM has
initiated a campaign to raise money to luanch a Refugee Rehabilitation
Center, which will provide services to meet the basic needs of
those Refugees. The Rehabilitation Center will include but not
limited to the following services: Medical Center, and Children
Care unit

Perhaps you are aware of the massacre in
Banskhali, Bangladesh in which 11 people including
7 women and 1 infant of a minority
family burned alive. Well, this time it could be Dignara, Nowabganj.
The terrorists are planning to wipe out the entire village. Women are gang raped, beaten
and men are either captured and held captive at jail or beaten up
badly.
They are being forced to pay "zizia tax" to stay alive.
Police and local leader of ruling party are involved.
While HRCBM-Dhaka took the initiative to procure justice for them,
to keep us at bay, terrorists with the help of Police filed an FIR
against our chapter head Advocate Rabindra Ghosh of HRCBM-Dhaka,
Bangladesh.
After repeated requests police did not withdraw the case against our
chapter head forcing us to get the anticipatory bail for Advocate
Ghosh.
The irony is that no other NGO and rights
organization have taken up this matter despite our appeal to them.
This not just one village a similar condition exists in Mirersarai,
Chittagong.

Hi all,
I had hot discussion with Maj(Rtd)
M.A.Mannan, M.P. of Bangladesh Nationalistic Party, Dignara,
Nowabganj, Dhaka who is reported to be the main master for cleansing
the Minorities from that area. He has been instigating the
terrorists for repeated attack on 100 Hindu Rishi families at
Dignara. I could not realize for the first time that he is
monitoring all these nefarious activities in the locality. Yesterday
night (10th of December,03) I politely requested Major Mannan to do
justice to the Rishi victims and try to punish those who repeatedly
tortured, raped Ms.Sarmista Bala desecrated the deities, collected
zizia tax from the innocent Rishi victims. But Major Mannan denied
all the allegations against the terrorists and supported the illegal
activities, rather blamed me for all cases filed against the
criminals, and warned me not to proceed further, he called me as
liar and he would give me a good lesson if I proceed further in this
matter. Major Mannan is not at all happy as I investigated the
atrocities upon the Rishi families in September,03. During our
discussion he lost his temper and started to rebuke me in a very
filthy language and he unnecessarily blamed me and want me to be
involved with the procession carried out by Rishi families in the
month of August. Now I could realize that the Police authority has
been asked to take necessary action against me without any
reasonable ground. Major Manan is not at all ready to realize the
situation prevailing at time. I could realize why Nowabganj Police
did not take any action against those criminals despite 4 specific
criminal cases are pending against them. Total administration is
under the control of Major Mannan and Police has got no power to do
justice to the victims. A total pressure on the Rishi families are
still continuing, they are now completely dependent upon HRCBM,Dhaka.
Even no humanitarian organization in Bangladesh do not dare to come
forward for the cause of minorities there. You will easily
understand how the situation now prevailing in our country. Most of
our Member of Parliament are nursing the terrorist activities in
different parts of the country- and mostly the victims are “
Religious and Ethnic Minorities “ I also came to know that Major
Mannan has instructed to Police Department to file case against me
also.
Under the aforesaid circumstances, I on behalf of HRCBM,Dhaka seek
your kind protection.
