Thursday 03 January 2002: Daily Sangbad – In the village of
Chitalmari subdistrict under Bagherhat district, notorious cadres of ruling
party went on rampage. The scoundrels gang raped five minority women and
tormented the victims in a primitive manner.
A gang of 10 to 12 miscreants under the command of terrorist Omar Ali
attacked the house of Prafulla Biswas in the Khagrabunia village at Tuesday
evening. There was no man available at house during the rampage. The vicious
brigands first destroyed the vegetation in the backyard of the house. While
women at domicile went to stop them from rampage, miscreants attacked Ms. Jouel
(18), Ms. Sadhana (14), Kamana (13) and their mothers Shuruchi and
Anima. They forcefully unclothed the
victims and started molesting them in primitive manner. Seriously wounded
Shuruchi and Anima were sent to Khulna medical college hospital. When asked Chitalmari police regarding this
atrocity, the in charge at the police station completely denied any knowledge
of such incident. While police is
reluctant to arrest the scoundrels, the miscreants are threatening for dare
