Naugau Staff Reporter: A tribal housewife
was naked and tortured in broad daylight by a group of miscreants
in Mehadevpur subdistrict under Naugau. The victim Kapana Rani
was kicked out of the local police station while she went to register
her accusation against the miscreants. According eyewitness, three
local terrorists Khalek, Latif and Rafik attacked the house of
Mr. Haran Kundha in the morning of 7th April, 2002. They were
instructed by a powerful leader of the locality to teach Mr. Khunda
a lesson. The housewife Kalpana Rani was working in the household
at that time. The miscreants attacked her and unclothed the lady.
Hearing the utter cry of the wife Mr. Kundha rushed to rescue
his wife. The miscreant seriously injured Mr. Kundha and left
the place.
This incident and the rule of Police have caused serious fury
in the local minority community.
This reporter tried talked to the officer in charge of the local
police station several times but failed get any response. Some
police officer even denied hearing of any such incidents.
