BNP threatens minorities to leave country

Panchanan Biswas, MP-elect of Khulna-1 constituency has accused BNP of resorting to violence in Batiaghata and Dakope Upazilas of Khulna.

At a press conference at Khulna Press Club AL MP-elect Panchanan Biswas said, BNP cadres led by Amir Azam Khan, brother of defeated BNP nominee Amir Ezaz Khan tortured hundreds of AL and minority members. "Even they attacked me and damaged my car the day before yesterday" he said this morning.

Panchanan citing many of the victims of Dakope-Batiaghata area said, BNP leaders ransacked, set fire and looted houses and business of those people. "They threatened minorities to leave country" he added.

On the otherhand, defeated BNP nominee Amir Ezaz Khan in a statement denying AL allegations said, Panchanan was trying to create unrest in the area and resorting to communalism. He warned Panchanan of resistance if further allegations come.

Meanwhile, unidentifed miscreants ransacked a temple at Kashimpur of Paikgachha Upazila of Khulna late in last night. Attacks on AL and minorities were done in Bajua and Surkhali, of Batiashata.
